Globe Trotting.

18 Jan

Did you watch the Golden Globes?  I, like many people, only watch to see who is wearing what.

It was movie night in our house Sunday night.  The Goonies.  Can’t go wrong with that.

But I did record the Globes to watch after the kiddos were asleep.

I actually wanted to watch it this year because my husband and I, who finally found a babysitter so we can have a date night every once in a while, have seen all of the movies up for Best Picture except for The King’s Speech.

The Fighter was excellent.  I might have downloaded Marky Mark and the Funky Bunch when we left.

The Social Network was good, however not best picture worthy in my humble opinion.

Inception was mind blowing.

The King’s Speech we plan to see on our next date night.

and…

Black Swan was brilliant.  Natalie Portman, who is not a dancer by trade, was undeniably beautiful and terrifying at the same time.

The costumes.  The dancing.  The story line.

It should have won Best Picture.

And of course, the dresses were all gorgeous…especially Natalie.  I thought she looked beautiful…

I just watched The Other Boleyn Girl…she is an unbelievable actor.

Amy Adams from The Fighter.  Love the color of her dress!

Kyra Sedgwick…beautiful tangerine with the touch of green earrings…

Heidi in a funky Marc Jacobs…love…

really loved Claire Danes in pink…

And Nicole Kidman is just so pretty and lady like in white Prada…

Catherine Zeta Jones…gorgeous in green…

And for a few I didn’t like..

Halle…we know you have a killer body.  We know you are gorgeous.  We all want your boobs.

But do you have to wear the same kind of dress to each and every award show??  Sometimes a little modesty makes you more beautiful…

Tilda…I have no words.

A few jewels from the night…

I would die for this ring and these bangles…

And for the men…hubba, hubba.

Jake…scruffy…I like.

Hello Zac…I might have High School Musical earrings with your face on them…maybe…

I love Robert Downey Jr…and love his red tie.  I bought a red tie just like his for my husband for Christmas.  See, honey…I know what I am talking about.

And Ryan Gosling…The Notebook is one of my favorites…

And Javier…just because.

Hello.

Hope I didn’t keep you waiting long..

You’re cute.

Enough said.

Til we meet again….
