World’s Simplest…

6 Jun

Super easy.  Virtually free.  Encourages visual stimulation, fine motor skills, and critical thinking.

Did I mention virtually free?

Take clothespins from the Dollar Store, paint chips, and a glue stick…and you have a craft that keeps children entertained for quite a while.

paint chip crafts kids fine motor skills visual stimulation

Have your older child help with cutting and gluing…and you’ll be surprised how much fun your children have together, no matter the age, matching the colored clothespins to the colored paint chip.

You’ll need to get 2 paint chips each…one to cut and one to keep.

Cut a strip the width of the clothespin.

Glue to the top of pin.

And that’s it.

This little activity is especially helpful when I cooking dinner…or on Pinterest.  Ha!  Just kidding about the Pinterest part!

Happy Monday, friends!

As a former teacher of little ones, I love this craft! My only question is how well does the gluestick hold the paint chips only the clothespins? Otherwise, BRAVO and THANKS for sharing! I’m pinning this for my cousin who teaches a preschool.

Hey Tanya! The glue holds the cut paint strip fantastic!! No problems what so ever! :) It has been a great tool for helping my son use his thumb and pointer finger ‘pinch’ together! Thanks for pinning us too! xoxo, Carrie and Angie

Ooops sorry…I guess I won’t be. I see that your site says I can’t post your pictures on my site. Thanks for the idea tho!

Strange…I’m not sure what happened to my first comment but what I said was I love this idea and plan to make some for my nieces and nephews. I also stated I was going to feature this on my site tomorrow but then I figured out that without permission I can’t put one of your pics on my site…hence the comment above. Sorry for any confusion I caused!
